Cooking at home can save you money and bring your family together.
Remember when your nightly meal was a time to catch up with everyone else in your family. We helped prepare the meal together and ate together. Today we can be so disconnected. Everyone seems to have something else to do. We are grabbing a bite here or there but not at our dinning room table. It was always important to me for all of us to sit down and eat together. During college our kids had a night a week they called "Family Night". Each of the group (kids they grew up with) took turns preparing the meal. The place varies but the ideals don't. It is a time you gather to share moments important to you. Become part of your family's life again.
Pull out those cookbooks. Try a new recipe. Make your meal an event. They may not remember if the laundry was done or the house is clean but they will remember the time you share together.
